Exciting news!
Stop press!! Mum and I are very excited that my bedroom has been featured on our two favourite blogs, Mini Meez and Renovate + Decorate, both written by the very talented Belinda Graham. Check it out!
My most amazing adventure to date!
Wow - what an adventure I went on this weekend!! Mum, Dad and I went to visit Grandma Pauline and Grandad Larry in Emerald Beach! On Saturday, we got up very early and went to the airport and got on a plane. It was my first time on a plane and I have to admit, I handled it very well. Mum was concerned about my ears popping so she fed me as we took off and I didn't notice a thing. Then I fell fast asleep, and when I woke, we were on the ground and Grandma Pauline was kissing me! It was all a bit confusing, but we were all glad to get there without any dramas.
When we got to Emerald Beach, Uncle Sam and Aunty Jodie, and their amazing pyjamas, were waiting for me. I had to have a nap though, so I just let them stare at me while I slept. When I woke up, Mum dressed me up in my 'outside' suit, put me in my pram and we all went out for lunch at Saltwater Resturant. Guess who was there...Aunty Bec, Uncle Dax and Willow!! I couldn't believe it. Of course, I had to have a nap, so I let Willow hold court for a while.
The rest of the weekend, I was feeling a little out of sorts - I missed my bed and Squirrel - so needed lots of attention. Grandma and Grandad looked after Mum and Dad, and Mum and Dad looked after me. It seemed a pretty fair arrangement. I didn't really sleep very much, but Mum said that was OK because I am cute. I don't really know what she means...
Yesterday we got on a plane again and came home. I decided to spare Mum and Dad any worries and slept cuddling Mum the entire journey and didn't wake up until we got to the car park at Sydney Airport. Mum said I missed a beautiful view of the Northern Beaches and the city as we flew over, but I was happy anyway.
Next trip is in three weeks and I think it might be a little bit longer than this one. We are going to see all my other relatives somewhere Dad calls the Mother Land. I don't know what that is, but if there are lots of Mothers there, there must be lots of boobs, and that can only be a good thing!
Keeping it real.
AJ.

The adventures of Millow and Willy
Well, goodness, it has been a while since my last posting. I have done so much in the past week! The most exciting thing was a visit from Willow (who is ten months old) and Aunty Bec. They came to stay for a few days and we had a great time! We dined out every day, even catching the bus to Manly one day for Yum Cha. We were very "city", as Aunty Bec would say. Willow was fun to hang out with. She is very good at crawling and gets around very quickly. She can pull herself up to standing as well, which I think is pretty impressive. She can also talk: she says 'mum', 'dad', 'nan' and 'num nums'. Aunty Bec thinks she might have said 'honk' as well. Mum says Willow is her second favourite girl. I guess that makes me her first favourite.
I've met lots of new people this week. On Saturday, I met some of Willow's friends when we went for brunch with Verity, Keiran, Lisa and Reagan. They were all very nice. Willow and I were the centre of attention which is only to be expected, I suppose. I also met Terri. She is Helena's mum's best friend and was visiting from the UK for two weeks. She went to Nene College with Lindsey, Tony and Dad, so they have all been friends for a long time. It was great to meet her!
This week I have had a few complaints. I've been very stuffy in my nose and throat. I'm not sick exactly, just very snuffly, especially when I am sleeping. I don't really notice too much, but Mum keeps getting up, worrying about me. She and Dad have been squirting saline solution in my nose, which helps me breathe better. I also had a nappy rash that was very painful and made me scream a lot (Thank you Aunty Bec for helping Mum work this out!!). Nothing a lot of sudocreme couldn't fix. To top it all off, I think I went through the "6 week change", and was feeling quite unsettled for a few days. Feeding has been irregular, but efficient (down to around 20 mins).
On Sunday night, after dinner at Tony and Lindsey's, I decided I was feeling very sad and perhaps a bit sick from the congestion, so we had to go home. A hundred metres from home I fell asleep, so Mum and Dad drove around Dee Why for a while to make sure I was really asleep. They said that really made them feel like parents! When we got home, I woke up, threw up some yucky stuff and then felt a whole lot better.
In between times when I am feeling sad, I am smiling a lot and even chuckling, so things aren't all terrible. And on Monday night, I slept for 6 hours straight overnight, so that was great for all of us.
Mum and I went to the Community Health clinic yesterday and we were surprised to find out that I have put on 400gm in a week! I now weigh 4.7kg which is 1.2kg over my birth weight. Mum's milk must be doing its job...and then some!
This weekend we are going to see Grandma and Grandad in Emerald Beach. Yippee!! It's going to be my first plane trip. It's a trial run for the big trip to the UK next month. Mum and Dad are a little nervous, but I'm not. I can't wait!

He really is a jolly good fellow!
Today is a special day - it's Dad's birthday!! I'm not sure exactly how old he's turned, but needless to say, he is very, very old. All day, he's been mumbling something about his diminishing chances of becoming a professional Premier league footballer. Silly Daddy! Mum and I made a special birthday banner, as you can see in the photo, and hung it last night to surprise him this morning. I think he really liked it, but not quite as much as the iPhone we gave him. We also gave him a boardgame called Risk. I haven't quite got my head around that one yet. The box says "ages +10", but I am pretty smart so I'm sure it won't be long before I am vying for global domination against Dad and his 'still-cool-even-though-we-play-Risk' friends.
For lunch, we went our new favourite restaurant in Dee Why called Sand Bar, and sat in a corner outside in glorious sunshine. It was nice to find a warm, sunny spot on a cold August day! Mum and Dad dined on delicacies such as duck pate, prawns, rainbow trout and salmon, but I was between meals, so I just chilled out in my pram. Mum and I made a cake so we had that for dessert when we got home.
All in all, a lovely day.

The banner originally said 'Happy Birthday Daddy' but it got a bit long!

Mum waited nine months for this - the biggest slab of pate she could find!

Aunty SJ's wedding pics
Aunty SJ recently got married to the lovely John. They had two weddings, in fact - one secret one in Thailand and one in Newcastle with all their family and friends. Mum and Dad were very sad to miss the celebrations (I think it might have had something to do with me) but we are all very happy for the special couple. Here are some photos of the exciting events. Doesn't she look beautiful?

Ticking all the boxes
This week has been pretty chilled out. Dad went back to work yesterday after 5 weeks long service leave. Mum was slightly nervous about it, but we had a great day. I wanted Mum to feel good about herself, so I didn't cry all day, ate, slept and gave her lots of smiles. We even managed to get out for a walk, which I enjoyed, except when we were in a queue of around 20 people at the post office. I was a bit pissed off then, so I let everyone know.
On Monday, Mum and Dad took me to get my passport photo taken. I was having a lovely sleep in the pram, and hard as they tried, they couldn't wake me. This was a problem (not to mention ironic!) as the passport people are apparently a bit fussy and require my eyes be showing in the photos. Eventually I cut them a break and patiently opened my eyes. But that wasn't enough for them, as the photo lady said both of my ears have to be showing too! So Mum, Dad and the lady were all dancing around, clapping and calling my name like idiots so that I would turn my head one way and then the other. It made me dizzy! I would get my head straight and look at the lady and Dad would shout "NOW!" and the lady would say "Oops, missed it." Then her camera battery run out. Dad said later she was a big whoopsy, but I don't really know what that means. Eventually they got the shot, thank goodness. I look a bit confused, but at least I was wearing my pretty onesie that Grandma Pauline bought me.
I think I have started to become more efficient when feeding, as I seem to be finishing after around 30-45 minutes. Mum says she doesn't mind, but we do get more done in a day if I feed for shorter times. I'm anticipating a growth spurt next week, though, so things may change! Night times have settled down again. I've agreed to wake for one feed at around 1am, and then I sleep until 6-7. This works out well for both parties.
I am starting to do some of the developmental things that Mums and Dads like to see, like staring intently at their faces (and always giving lots of smiles when I do!), reaching out with my hands (you know, I think those things are attached to me! All this time I thought they were just some pesky things that kept hanging out with me and hitting me in the face!) and kicking my legs (this is fun, except Mum doesn't like it when I kick off the side of the chair when she is feeding me. She says 'ouch'!).
Wow, I am 5 weeks old tomorrow! I've had such an exciting life so far.
Lots of love,
Milly

Food, friends and fun!
Today was a nice relaxed Sunday. I felt really quite content with the world and spent a bit of time just being awake and quiet (as opposed to one of my previous three states of being: sleeping, feeding or crying). It was nice to stop and have a look around the place.
When I did want a nap, I decided that my bassinet was really unacceptable and that Mum's or Dad's arms were the only place I could possibly sleep. Dad tried to put me down four times and each time I would wake up again in two minutes. Silly Dad! Once he worked it out and let me sleep in his arms, of course no amount of noise or movement would wake me. Lucky for me, Mum and Dad don't believe bad habits can be formed at four weeks old!
This afternoon, pretty Olivia came to visit , with her mum Linda and friend Clare. It was really lovely to meet them all. Olivia was a little too big for me to play with this time, but I am sure we will be very good friends soon. She did give me a gentle poke on the head to let me know she liked me too.
After their visit, I got rugged up in the pram and went for a ride to the beach. It was great fun, though a bit cold! Dad reckons he will go for a surf before he goes back to work on Wednesday, but he's been saying that for 5 weeks. Let's face it, hanging out with me is so much more fun than surfing.
Before I went to bed, I had a Skype call with Grandad Robin and Grandma Hazel. Grandad got his webcam working so I was able to put faces to their names! I was on my best behaviour and was very cute. It was so lovely to talk to them and can't wait to meet them in person next month.
I am still feeding up to an hour and a half, but have a bit of a pattern happening now, which makes it easier on Mum. She's not complaining - it gives her lots of time to help me write this blog!
Peace.

The dream could be over...
Hi fans,
Last night was the first night I haven't slept for 5-6 hours through the night. I went to sleep at 1am, woke at 4.30am, and again at 7am. Mum and Dad seem nervous, especially Dad who is going back to work on Wednesday. Oh well, I can't help it if I need a snack in the middle of the night.
Tonight we got an email from Aunty Jodie with scan pictures of my cousin who will be joining our fast-growing family in December. I can't wait to meet him or her! This pic of the spine is so beautiful I wanted to share it.
Love to you all.

This blog has grown in popularity overnight and well, why wouldn't it? My life is pretty exciting. Take yesterday, for example. Mum, Dad and I all hung out on the rug for some no-nappy time. It was great fun!

This morning, Dad and I went for a walk (Grandma Viv - check out the photos of the new Bugaboo hood. Thank you! I feel very flash being wheeled around with a racy red canopy!)while Mum snuck off to have brunch with her friends. Yet another example of her selfishness. She was gone for one whole hour and by the time she got home I was very, very cranky! I wanted brunch of my own. Afterwards, I forgave her and had a nice nap in her arms.
This afternoon was a whirlwind of social activity. First, Farah came to visit me and she gave me a cuddle until I decided I would rather hang out with Leftie. Then Aunty Coco came over also, though I slept through most of her visit. I did find a couple of minutes between sleeping and eating to give her a bit of a cuddle.
